When we think of someone being ultimate, we usually picture dominance, power, fame—people serving them. Not someone bending down, washing feet. Not someone staying silent while being mocked. Not someone willingly taking the punishment meant for someone else.
That’s not how greatness is supposed to work… right?
But in Mark 15, Jesus redefines “ultimate.”
Not with a shiny gold crown—but with a crown of thorns.
Not by winning a fight—but by surrendering to the cross.
Not by being served—but by serving us, in the most extreme way possible.
Jesus is the Ultimate Servant.
